We are pleased to announce the release of a new version of the 4Login App, Ver. 5.3.0 (iOS and Android versions) on March 31, 2026.
Main changes
New Features
- In line with Cryptan’s support for quantum resistant encryption (ML-KEM) in file encryption, the 4Login App now supports the same function.
Improvements and Fixes
- Improved operability and layout – Fixed problems with keyboard display and QR code reading.
- Improved multilingual display (English and Chinese)
Notification of changes in operating environment
Starting with this version, the supported version for iOS has been changed to enhance security and optimize functions.
- Date of change: Tuesday, March 31, 2026, around 10:00 a.m.
- Old environment: iOS 15.0 or higher
- New environment: iOS 16.0 or higher Impact on users on iOS 15 or lower
The currently installed “Version 5.2.0” can continue to be used, but with the following restrictions.
- Unavailability of new features
- New features and improvements in Version 5.3.0 or later will not be available.
- Security risk
- Security patches and bug fixes will not be provided for iOS 15 or lower environments in the future.
Due to the nature of the authentication application, we do not recommend continued use of the older version in order to ensure safe and secure login.
- Affected users
- Users of devices with an OS lower than iOS 15 (e.g. iPhone 7 or earlier models).
*If your device cannot update its OS to iOS 16 or higher, you will not be able to update to Version 5.3.0 or later.
- Users of devices with an OS lower than iOS 15 (e.g. iPhone 7 or earlier models).
- Recommended Action
- OS update: Please update to the latest iOS if your device supports it.
- Replacement of devices: If your device is not available for iOS 16 or later, please consider moving to a device that is available for iOS 16 or later.
